The Hungarikum Center has opened in Subotica, following Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Subotica. The store offers a selection of seven hundred Hungarian and Vojvodina products for customers to choose from. Visitors can find the finest wines, salamis, and cheeses from Hungary and Vojvodina at the store located on Dimitrije Tucovic Street, where there was great interest in the products from the very first day. The opening ceremony of the Hungarikum Center in Subotica commenced in a truly Hungarian atmosphere, with the store being inaugurated by Attila Pintér, the Hungarian Ambassador to Belgrade. The Hungarian Ambassador emphasized the significant growth in the indicators of Serbian-Hungarian bilateral trade relations, to which stores selling hungarikum products also contribute.

Attila Pintér stated, "Hungarian-Serbian trade relations are continuously expanding, and I hope that we will achieve very good results this year as well. My colleagues and I are working to strengthen the presence of Hungarian products in Serbia as much as possible." Hajnal JenÅ‘, the President of the Hungarian National Council, highlighted the significance of Vojvodina products at the event, stating, "I think that every Hungarian product born in the Carpathian Basin and considered a hungarikum is a value that can be very important to us. When such a store opens, people look for their own products, and thankfully, they can already find Vojvodina entrepreneurs, chocolate, and flavors that are native to our region on the shelves." The Mayor of Subotica also visited the new store and the wide range of products it offers. Mayor JenÅ‘ Maglai expressed, "I believe it is very positive that such a store has opened, where the highest quality products can be purchased within legal frameworks." The opening of the Hungarikum Center in Subotica was met with huge interest. Some visitors took advantage of the opportunity and made purchases immediately. Marija Matković shared her experience, "I have already made purchases, I bought a very nice duck and liver pâté. I am very happy about this center, and I hope that there will be even more in the future." The Subotica store is the fourth in Serbia where interested individuals can purchase special hungarikum products. There are plans to open additional stores in the future. Károly Körmöci, Deputy Director of Tisacoop Kft., expressed, "We would like to open nine to ten stores in the coming years. The next destination from the perspective of Vojvodina could be Subotica, or for example, we will establish a store in the city of Veliki Beckerek. Right now, we are focusing on Subotica." In addition to various cheeses, pastas, salamis, and wines, the store also features decorations made of Zsolnay ceramics. Aside from selling products, the Hungarikum Center also aims to promote Hungarian culture, tradition, and tourism. The festive atmosphere was complemented by the TISZA folk dance ensemble from Magyarkanizsa, while the Subotica Hungarian Company of the National Theatre provided the sophisticated musical accompaniment through the outstanding performances of Pálfy Ervin and Kucsera Géza Jr. (source: pannonrtv.com) Images: subotica.com
